What Eric stands for:
PEACE
Get our troops and contractors out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and over 100 other countries. We spend more on our military than all other countries combined. This has no logical result other than enriching the Military Industrial Complex.
WISE LAND USE
Create the Fort Ord Soldiers National Monument to preserve as open space and honor the memory of soldiers who trained there.
Make Pinnacles into Pinnacles National Park, fully funded, with enhanced activities and features for visitors.
VETERANS
Expedite the Veterans’ Cemetery on what used to be Ft Ord, will full funding from the Federal government. Our veterans deserve this!
We need to fully fund the Department of Veterans Affairs, and take care of our neglected veterans from Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. We need to take care of the new influx from our current conflicts.
ECONOMY
Revitalize out economy, and implement the Green New Deal with funds that we are spending war for investment in green jobs in renewable energy, mass transit, and conservation.
HEALTH CARE FOR ALL
Over 40 million Americans have no health insurance. If the rest of the industrialized world can have effective single-payer health care systems, with American ingenuity so can we in the United States!
EDUCATION
Fully fund our education system, and finally implement the 1954 Brown vs Board of Education Supreme Court Decision.
TRANSPORTATION
Support alternative transportation, including rail, bus, bicycle, and pedestrian. We need to minimize pollution-causing transportation.
HONEST GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE
Election reform to get the influence of money out of the voting process and proportional voting in.
